Initially, I wanted to have a camp review as usual. But I felt I was led by God to post something else. Its partly also because it is very, very real in my life.
The question I want to post to you guys who actually do visit my blog is, although it is so easy to be on fire for God after camp, when we lay down new commitments, make new covenants with God, when we promised things we know we are unable to accomplish with our own strengths and then temptation comes along, we fall into sin.
Then what?
Do we just feel upset? Whine and keep apologizing to God?
Or do we pick ourselves up? Ask for forgiveness and CONTINUE to seek His face. To continue Shouting out His glory, His name, His wonderful grace and love. Going to camp does
NOT make us perfect beings. Camp does give us a spiritual refill when we are dry, a milestone that we can always look back to when our faith is low, when we start doubting. But it does not make us a new creation in an instant. Like Glenn Lim said, when we go back into the real world, where temptations abound, where standards of the world are so different from the standards God set, how do we react? Where do we stand?
Remember, transformation is never instant. It is a process. A painful process of submission. Of humility. Of moulding. Of breaking. Of reshaping. Of repairing. Of grace. Of love. Of our Saviour.
Remember our God and what He has done for us on the cross.
Remember His love.
Live for His glory.
