Give thanks with a grateful heart for He is worthy to be praised:)
I have plenty of reasons to really thank God.
He has taught me how to stop relying on my own strength but instead, look to Him in all that I do. This week I completed my first 100 counts of warm up. For those people who know the SPDS routine(and the dreaded warm up word), you would know warm up isn't actually warm up since it requires about 5 hours to complete. Despite how tired and fatigued I was feeling, God made a way. I kept praying and asking for strength. OK maybe it wouldn't be counted and I failed the warm up in the end, but I know He was with me through everything that I've been through. I know that. I felt that. And I thank You Lord for You are a great and mighty God!:)
Live for His glory alone. Many a times when I've been playing drums, I really wonder whether I'm playing unto God. Or for myself? Whether I do it to impress people? To hear the praises they say of ur playing or the pats you receive on your back? During DG today, I really felt God speaking to me, calling me to focus on Him. He is the only light, the only beacon of hope I have on a dark and narrow path. Going back to the warm up as well, the only reason why I actually wanted to complete it was because I wanted to do it for God. Not for me to boast or anything.
"I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength". So surely this can't get me down:) So yep:)
Not to mention great friends He has put in my life:) Ivan welcome home:) David and Junxu, you have about 1 month 9 days 12 hours and 40 minutes to play around with:D Gabriel and Ryan! A lvls next year:D Tham,Jiaho, Teh, QZ and Kenny! ORD IN LESS THAN 1 YEAR!:D
"For where your treasure is, your heart will be also." Matthew 6:21My prayer for all of you, my dear friends, is to find your real treasure in this world full of illusions, full of distractions and glittery sands.OK! I watched Harry Potter! I would say its a rather good show. Plot wasn't too shabby and the atmosphere was quite good also. But what made the show good rather than just an average one, was EMMA WATSON!!!!! She's soooooooooooooo pretty! (hint hint Christmas present:D)
Have a great week in camp!:) (for both the NS and ahem Church camp:D)
God bless:)

I had a wonderful time:) Thank you to all who remembered my birthday:) Really really sweet of ya guys:) For all the presents, the well wishes and most of all, your friendship which i treasure dearly. Thank you:)
On Saturday morning, i woke up at a crazy time (after an insane night of dota till 2...) to watch
Just like Heaven with Joanne. The show was super super nice. I won't spoil the story for ya guys but its really sweet. Amazing how certain things happen to people. But its really romantic. (hint hint Ryan or ...:D)
I had this dinner at night. I really apologize for not being able to invite everyone... Cos everything was done at quite short notice... Yea... So sorry... But anyway, it was radical. Food was good. The sparkling wine great. But of course, the company was the best. Just having my good friends around and sitting and dining was something we haven't done for ages. Partly due to exams and stuff.
Sunday drums! I'm getting my touch back! Yay. Thank God:)
Another long week ahhhh...
All the way for the A level people:) I'm behind you guys. And obviously God is always with u till the end of the earth:)
Oh welcome home denise.:D

Alright! I'm back. Super disappointed that time passed so fast while I'm having fun. But well, its something we all do have to cope with huh. Cruise with Tham, QZ, Jiaho and Teh was just unbelievable. All the nonsense that we did, the serious and small talk that we had, and the jokes we enjoyed from Jiaho(effortlessly:D) and the hilarious series of events that happened. Totally rad. Totally.
Top highlights:
1) We went go-karting in Phuket, Thailand and the vehicles we were racing in were pretty fast stuff. The circuit itself was quite hard to maneuvre around also. But Jiaho, being the crazy ass he was, decided that he was an F1 racing driver and just sped through the whole thing. The result: he crashed out of the course at least 2 times and smashing Tham's stalled vehicle, raking up a total bill of 1700 baht (which is alot of money in their context) leaving us with little cash to spend after that.
2)We were talking about some chinese terminology and here comes Jiaho and spouts out "xiong zhao" which he tot meant a bad sign. He said it out loud as well in front of hoardes of people...
3)The casino. Den of evil. Although i didn't actually play myself, but Teh and QZ were hilarious with the fan ben ji hua:D
4)Casino part II: Jiaho won an amazing 300 bucks at his first night. But on his second night, he told me it wasn't his night and just spent 50 dollars of his winnings all in one sitting. Like he didn't want to even try to think and play.
5)MTV! The gang took an MTV of some super duper lamo song from The Chinese High. Our ex-consortium song. Crazily funny! Luckily i was the camera man:D
Well back to camp already and I'm feeling super depressed. Warm up today was cut half-way (and there goes my effort for it) and already I'm super tired la. Then Sgt. Francis suddenly decided to take us for circuit training. Super tiring. Out of touch already la. Like someone told me, slack too much already. Better start getting into the heat of things again.:)

Its been a tough week. What was expect to be a slack one turned out to be very tiring indeed. Advanced SPDS. We haven't even started learning any new drills at all. Just keep doing warm ups. Rifle PT isn't fun. 20 counts of 8 isn't even funny at all. Its exactly 4 times the amount that we did in basic SPDS. Kinda crazy. But well, through tough times I guess I really do learn to rely on God's strength more than my own:)
My whole weekend's burnt! AHHHH! I have a remembrance parade at Kranji War Memorial this Sunday and the rehearsal's on Saturday! So yea... You get the picture... But after that! Its fun fun fun! Cruise with the whole group and just by ourselves! WOO HOO! Can't wait!!
Ok I'm doing the IC dan relief thingie for Changing of Guard for the month of December (4th to be exact) and its kinda an experience I guess. Afterall, its like the centre of attention for a few minutes at least:D But that also means i can't go for church camp. What a bummer. Cuz the rehearsal spans that entire week. But i will try to go at night especially for Friday and Saturday. Yep yep.
God bless:)

Oopsy. Haven't been blogging for a bit. Right. Quick recap of the last 4 days.
Monday: Had a super slack day in camp. I lazed around till 11 before falling in the parade square (apparently for a parade vetting with didn't happen) and then proceding for lunch. Subsequently, i slept in my bunk till it was time for last parade and book out(hurray!). Then we finally had our MP basic course 01/2005 Platoon 1 Section 4 dinner! Ah it was a real pity not everyone could join us but i was glad at how things turned out although it was pretty obvious there were cliques among our own section. But these things happen i guess. Fun fun fun! Really good catching up with our dear sec com whom i really think is very very misunderstood... Sad but i hope he grows and learns from his experiences:)
Tuesday: Had little to do but i had an invitation from my JC classmates to play street soccer in HCI! Where else! Our home for like 6 years... Memories:D And it was good. Yet another opportunity to relive those carefree days, now in an even more carefree manner and mood.
Wednesday: Besides seeing a doctor for some messed up skin problems like the nonsense fungal infection on my foot( a.k.a. foot rot:D), i had sooooo much to eat. For lunch i had like Spagetti at Secret Recipe, a double cheeseburger at Mc's and a teriyaki chicken burger at Mos burger. Soooooo much la. Quite guilty now but well i tot it was all worth it:D Met up with Kenny and Teh. WAtched the 40 year old virgin. It certainly was hilarious stuff. Really reminds me of all the external pressures and peer pressure one does face in today's world. But do just look to God in everything we do and pray for Him to show us His only way, thats the only solution I do have to cope with these pressures:) Cos God will certainly not put us in a position or circumstance cannot sustain us anyway:) Listened to this really great cd called
Within Temptation at the Heeren's, but i decided against buying it... SO EX!!! AHHHH!
Thursday: We had a soccer match against the parents. Well not really parents. More like youths(from like p6 up) to 20 vs men who were like quite huge la. Haha but it was very enjoyable. I ran my guts out i felt. And i was pretty surprised i did last the entire duration of the match until the last 2 minutes where i felt really really busted and tired out. 5 - 1 the final score. Us losing. But i felt it was cos of lack of match practice:D Afterall exams did just end:D And we were missing our key players:D yada yada...:D Oh and i did score quite a pretty goal;) We went out after that(after a shower of course) and I do really have to apologize to Isaac and Tim for waiting for such a long time. We dilly dallied for far too long and when we finally reached it was like 2pm already instead of the appointed time of 12?:D But we did catch a crazy crazy show. It was called
Dreamship Surprise. The plot was almost non-existent but the stupid gay antics of the characters in it were just hilarious la! Very funny stuff. Lines like "I have to tell you something important... I forgot my bra!" to which a stupid reply like (from a male character btw) "oh i'll lend you mine!" But overall i tot it was just good clean fun. Haha.
Guard duty on friday! Cya on Sunday:) Have a great week (or what's left of it)!!!:)
God bless:) Oh and Denise, u owe me that fish u promised. Better have it ready the next time i see ya. HA! Toddles.
