Probably one of the most used passages in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 13 :4 -8:
"Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease;if there is knowledge,it will be done away."
The excellence of love. God is perfect,God is love and so His love to us is perfect!:)
So often we always hear, love the sinner and hate the sin. I can perfectly understand why. Christ died on the cross for ALL our sins. Not just an exclusive group of people, not only for the rich, nor the powerful but for every single one of us who acknowledges Him as our Lord and Saviour. So if God can forgive the sinner for what he/she has done, and continue to love him/her unconditionally, why can't we? God hates sin infinitely and definitely has no threshold nor tolerance for sin at all, because He is holy. Yet He can forgive and continue to love,so who do we think we are,not to love someone who has sinned against you? Do we think that we're on a higher standard than God? That we're more holy than God? Definitely not!
For people who consistently blame themselves for their past failures and mistakes, God does forgive:) As long as you learn from them, pick yourself up and see God's grace and mercy. But if after that, you keep blaming yourself and all, then its time to re-examine whether your really sorry about committing that mistake, or just in denial that your character is such that you thought was perfect.
God's love is perfect.Rejoice!:)
